TERMS & CONDITIONS
Below are the terms & conditions in relation to my tuition service. Please read them carefully. The terms and conditions are subject to change and any changes will be put in writing.
Terms & Conditions
1.
I am kind, patient and always willing to adapt my teaching strategies to every student’s individual needs.
2.
I take my teaching and musical activities very seriously and expect students to take them seriously too by putting in the required practice time to allow for steady progression.
3.
I do encourage the taking of exams, however this is not mandatory - learning can be for fun and professional development.
4.
I am always prompt with my timing and expect students to be the same. If they come to me, I expect them to arrive for the start of their lesson. If the lesson is conducted virtually then I expect the student to be punctual when logging in and prepared.
5.
I will always try to give at least 24 hours notice if I have to cancel a lesson and expect students to follow the cancellation policy (see below) as well.
6.
I ask that, where possible, students keep the same lesson time/day each week, otherwise it may be difficult to change due to clashes with other students.
7.
I am a fully qualified teacher as of 2015 (Teacher Reference Number - 1567449) and have an up-to-date DBS certificate that is completely clear. Proof is available on request.
Cancellations
1.
For individual lessons, cancellations must be made more than 24 hours in advance. In circumstances where 24 hours cannot be given (e.g. sickness), I will try and offer a 'make-up' session, which must be completed before the next scheduled lesson. If this 'make-up' session cannot be attended then the lesson is lost but still charged.
2.
For block bookings, I ask that any expected cancellations (e.g. holiday or appointments) be made at the time of booking so you will not be billed for these lessons. Any cancellations or changes made mid-block are subject to the individual lesson cancellation policy as stated above.
3.
Should students wish to stop lessons altogether, I ask for 2 weeks notice (or to the end of a block). These 2 weeks will be treated like normal lessons so will be chargeable whether you attend or not. For students who have booked blocks, they are expected to finish the block and if attendance is missing, no refund will be given.
